Nanticoke River Bass Fishing Report July 19th 2015:
Hello bass fishing fans! In this Nanticoke River bass fishing report, I ran straight to the Federalsburg ramp at high tide and fished my way down through the area local anglers call 'The Trees" located in Marshyhope Creek. As you might have guessed, this area is jammed packed full of fallen tree lay down, bushes and overhangs. All of which are prime time habitat for opportunistic largemouth bass on the hunt for a tasty meal. The tide has been known to rip through the trees very fast. Sometimes close to un fish able on a middle high tide - low tide. So today I though I would try it on a high tide falling to middle low tide. Not the ideal tide to fish such a hotspot but maybe enough water movement to create a few bites from the larger bass in the creek, first thing in the morning. I was searching for something in the 3 lb, 4lb or 5lb range.
In hind sight my approach was nothing to write home about but I'm glad that I tried it just the same. Most of my Nanticoke river tournament lately I have focused on the Nanticoke river almost exclusively. My next move took me back towards the Nanticoke River, where I fished the bottom end of Marshyhope Creek. My journey today brought back a lot of great memories of fish that I have landed in the Marshyhope but I could only land 3 keeper fish in the "Hope" today.
Around 11 am I decided to run to Seaford and fish a few docks and bulk heads. This move did not pan out. I managed to run down past Broad Creek and landed 2 more keepers before I reached Sharpstown. On a side note, my partner (Dad) tied into a nice 3 lb catfish on the main river.

If I could do 1 thing different?
I might have played the tide differently, found myself chasing it most of the day!

P.S
Great news! I have been informed that, if the season ended today (19th Place A.O.Y. Points), I would be in the CHAMPIONSHIP for Delaware Bass Nation! (1 DBF Tournament Left)
