SLOW DOWN is the urgent memo I'm getting...
Last week I zero'd on any legal sized bass (15'' or bigger ). 2 - 3 foot waves and high winds played a role in foiling my game plan heading in to the first Delaware Bass Federation tournament of the year.
This week I will be trying my luck in the first Delaware Bass Federation Nation tournament of the year. Sure, I will have tied on 8 different Rat-L-Traps before the day is over but I will have some SLOWER presentations ready to go as well.

A couple nice 70 degree day's are forecast this week and that should help bring some of the bigger bass up off the drop offs and deep ledges. I will hit those areas with the the slower stuff. Then I will follow that up with the new heavy duty swim jig from Gambler Lures along with, a War Eagle spinner bait and some medium to deep diving crankbaits for good measure.
IF the sun comes out and stays out between now and then? Hard bottom areas next to deeper water could be the key to victory on April 13th.
