Smitson Secures 30th place in FLW Everstart Northern Series

 

 

FLW Everstart Pro Melvin Smitson ( Baltimore, Maryland ) has finished his rookie season in 30th place! "It's been a crazy year filled with a lot if unexpected twist and turns that I really could not had imagined before the year started. Finishing in 30th place for the season in the Northern Division is no small task for anybody on the FLW Everstart level. These are some of the best pro's from around the country and I'm very grateful to be one the top 30 pro's on the FLW Everstart Northern trail." ~ said Melvin

 

Not only did Melvin finish in the to 30 he also wound up being the 3rd best pro from Maryland in the 2013 FLW Everstart Northern Series. Melvin looks to improve on his stats next year.

 

FLW has added a championship to the FLW Everstart Series for the 2014 season in which the top 30 pros get to fish a no entry championship on Wheeler Lake, Alabama. With a chance to then compete for the Forrest Wood Cup in 2015.

 

"At the beginning of my rookie year. If you told me I would finish in the top 30, would be the 3rd best pro in Maryland and have qualified for a championship if the FLW Everstart Series had one in 2013. I would have said I'd take that all day, all night and twice on Sunday." ~ Said Smitson.

"I just want to take a moment to thank FLW, FLW Tournament Directors and FLW Staff members for being a top notch organization. I have met many kind friends out on the Everstart trail in 2013 and I now have 11 great sponsors so far this season as a result. Rat-L-Trap, Buckeye Lures, Gamber Lures, JWB Art Unlimited, The Crab Place, Eco Pro Tungsten, Big Bear Fishing Rods, Zeko Shoes, Flatbellies Fishing Lures, Pro Sites Unlimited and War Eagle Custom Lures.
